A detailed list of registration, hotel information, and the most up to date schedule can be found at www.truckingshow.com.

“We intend to set a new standard for trucking industry events,” says President Toby Young. “We’ve developed new in-person experiences that will reconnect the entire trucking industry through face to face interactions that will educate and entertain. Some experiences include a new expanded education program (MATS Pro Talks Seminar Series) with twice as many seminars and product demonstrations, more outdoor events including a larger-than-ever 30th Anniversary PKY Truck Beauty championship, a MATS 50th Anniversary Celebration and Ceremony on the opening night that will include live music, drinks, and an interactive history display with the MATS Wall of Fame, and other immersive experiences.” 2022 MATS attendees can also expect to experience other long-standing events such as the MATS Friday night concert, and five exhibit halls including more than one million square feet of exhibits.

MATS 50th will reconnect the entire trucking industry through our shared history and provide a platform for industry leaders to define the future.

With the 50th anniversary of the Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS) coming March 24th-26th of 2022, a new program titled, “Trucking Strong” has been put into action to recognize the strength and tenacity of Trucking Professionals at MATS.

The American economy and way of life depends on the trucking industry and the critical role the hard-working men and women of the industry play. To recognize the unwavering commitment, courage, strength, and resilience of everyday heroes in the trucking industry, MATS is collecting your stories.

Over the past months, MATS has been flooded with stories submitted by colleagues, peers, and family members of exemplary industry professionals. Their Trucking Strong stories will be displayed on an interactive digital wall at the MATS 50th celebration for all attendees to witness. These submissions will also be recognized during the opening night ceremony on Thursday, March 24, 2022.

To show their appreciation, MATS show management will choose three submissions to receive a prize package including 4 VIP tickets, a 2-night hotel stay for the 50th Anniversary Mid-America Trucking Show, a $250 Visa Gift Card, and a collection of MATS merchandise!

Share your Trucking Strong story with the MATS Community with this link: www.truckingshow.com/trucking-strong

The first prize package recipient from the Trucking Strong program is James Rogers. Rogers served more than 11 years in the U.S. Army until suffering a spinal injury in an IED explosion. After two years of recovery, he was ready to return to work and found the trucking industry. In September of 2017, Rogers was nominated by his employer to receive a truck of his own through the Key To Progress Program.

On April 7th, 2018, he received the keys to his own 2015 Freightliner Cascadia, and his company Spartan Direct, LLC, was born. Today, the Spartan Direct fleet consists of seven trucks that worked during the pandemic delivering crucial items the country needed.

All submissions are encouraged, and prizes will be awarded in the weeks leading up to MATS. Share your Trucking Strong story with the MATS Community with this link: www.truckingshow.surveysparrow.com/s/Trucking-Strong-Contest/tt-0e5484

Published submissions can be found on the MATS Facebook and Instagram pages.
